Saving and sharing views

You keep rebuilding the same filters, columns and grouping every time you open a page, and want to get back to a cut in one click.

In short

Save the current filters, columns, sort and zoom as a named view, set a default, deep-link to it, and share it with your organization.

Good fit if you keep rebuilding the same filters, columns and grouping every time you open a page and want that cut back in one click.

A view is a saved lens on a page: its filters, visible columns, sort, grouping and zoom, kept under a name so you can return to it instantly. Views live on the Dashboard, Data Studio, Goals & KPIs, Projects, Timeline, Alignment and the Heatmap, and they are shared from the server rather than stuck in one browser.

  1. Set a page up the way you want it.Apply the filters, columns, grouping, sort and zoom that give you the cut you need.
  2. Open the "Views" menu in the toolbar and save it with a name. The saved view captures the current configuration. A "dirty" marker appears when the live page has drifted from the saved view, so you know when to resave.
  3. Set one as your default. The page then opens on that view every time, for you. The default is per person, so yours does not change anyone else's.
  4. Share a view.Keep it to yourself (restricted), or make it visible to the whole organization, or to specific people and teams. Shared views re-check access as people open them, so sharing stays in step with your teams.
Why it works
How a view differs from a snapshot

A view is live: it is a saved set of filters that always shows the current data. A snapshot is frozen: it captures how a page looked at one moment so you can compare it later. Use a view for the cut you check every week, and a snapshot for "here is exactly what it said on review day".

Tip
Deep-link and subscribe

A view has a shareable link that opens the page straight to that cut, which is handy in a message or an agenda. You can also subscribe to a view's risk bell to be notified when its risk levels change. Data Studio ships with a few seeded views, such as "Work outrunning outcomes", to start from.

When teams reach for this

A saved view captures the current filters, columns, sort and zoom under a name, which you can set as a default and deep-link to. A view is live and reusable, where a snapshot freezes a moment, and you can share it with your organization or subscribe to it.

Who it helps

Vindaris fits the PM, analyst or team lead who returns to the same cut of the data every week, and the Chief of Staff who wants everyone looking at the same view in a meeting. It suits scale-ups and mid-market companies, roughly 30 to 500 people, where a shared, named view saves the whole team from rebuilding the same filters.

Why it helps

As the data grows, getting to the cut you care about means re-applying the same filters and columns each time, which wastes minutes and drifts between people. Saving the cut as a named view makes it one click, and sharing it means a meeting runs off one agreed picture rather than everyone's own.

In practice

Vindaris maps your strategy, goals and KPIs down to every project and task, and the Work Graph flags execution risk wherever effort has drifted from the goal, with task-level context down to the Slack thread.
