Reading the timeline

You want to see goals, projects and tasks laid out against time so crunch periods and slippage are obvious.

In short

Open the Timeline to place work on a shared time axis, filter by status and planning cycle, and save or snapshot the view.

Good fit if you want goals, projects and tasks laid out against time so crunch periods and slippage are obvious.

The Timeline places your goals, projects and tasks on one time axis, so the question it answers is "when", not "what". It is the view to reach for when you want to see where work bunches up, what is slipping past its date, and how a quarter actually lays out.

  1. Open Timeline from the sidebar. Each item is a bar on the shared axis, colored by status, so you can tell on-track, behind and at-risk work apart at once.
  2. Filter with the traffic-light chips in the menu bar.Show only On track, Behind or At risk to cut the axis down to the work you want to look at.
  3. Jump to a planning cycle.Cycle presets scope the axis to a quarter or period your admin has defined, so you are not scrolling to find this quarter.
  4. Save, summarize or freeze the view from the toolbar.Save the current cut as a View, generate an AI Summary of what is shown, or take a Snapshot to compare against later.
Why it works
Why a time axis and not just a list of due dates?

A list of due dates tells you each date in isolation. A timeline shows them in relation to one another, which is where the real risk lives: three projects all landing in the same week, or a goal whose supporting work finishes after the goal is due. Those collisions are visible on an axis and invisible in a list.

When teams reach for this

The Timeline lays goals, projects and tasks on a shared time axis instead of a list of due dates. You filter it by status and planning cycle, and save or snapshot the view so a given cut is one click away.

Who it helps

Vindaris fits the PM or delivery lead sequencing work across a quarter, and the Chief of Staff or COO watching where several teams' timelines collide. It suits scale-ups and mid-market companies, roughly 30 to 500 people, where enough work runs in parallel that clashes are hard to see in a list.

Why it helps

In a list of due dates, two teams crunching the same week looks like two ordinary rows, so overload is invisible until it happens. The Timeline places work on a shared time axis, so a pile-up or a slipping project shows as a shape you can act on in advance.

In practice

Vindaris maps your strategy, goals and KPIs down to every project and task, and the Work Graph flags execution risk wherever effort has drifted from the goal, with task-level context down to the Slack thread.
