EOS Level 10 Meeting Agenda

In short

The EOS Level 10 meeting agenda: the fixed 90-minute structure from the Traction system, running segue, scorecard, rock review, headlines, to-dos, and IDS issue-solving. It is weighted so most of the meeting goes to solving issues rather than reading status.

The Level 10 meeting works because the structure is fixed and the weighting is deliberate. Status (scorecard and rocks) is reviewed fast as on-track or off-track, and anything off-track becomes an issue. The bulk of the meeting, a full hour, goes to IDS: identify, discuss, solve. This template keeps the timings honest so the issue-solving block never gets eaten by status.

How to use this template

  1. Start and end on time, every week. The fixed 90 minutes is part of why the L10 works; a meeting that runs long stops being trusted.
  2. Review the scorecard and rocks fast. They are binary, on-track or off-track, and anything off-track becomes an issue to solve later.
  3. Protect the 60-minute IDS block. Solving the top three issues is the one thing this meeting does that an email cannot.
  4. Rate the meeting 1 to 10 at the end. The score is feedback that keeps the format from quietly decaying.

Frequently asked questions

Why is it called a Level 10 meeting?

Because the team rates the meeting from 1 to 10 at the end, aiming for a 10. The rating is a feedback loop that keeps the disciplined format from slipping over time.

What is IDS in the L10?

Identify, Discuss, Solve: the issue-solving method that takes up most of the meeting. You identify the real issue beneath the symptom, discuss it once, and agree a concrete action with an owner.
